Simon Says Stamp Wed Challenge: Anything Goes

Hello!

I have made two Halloween-themed cards since Halloween is round the corner. These are birthday cards for two October babies.

I used Mama Elephant's Grid Window die to create nine windows to place the cute ghosts and monsters from MFT's Fab-Boo-Lous stamp set.

I colored the images using alcohol markers, selecting the Halloween colors of orange, green and purple. This color combination looks so bright and cheery. I love it!

I then added sequins to some of the windows to turn this into a shaker card.

Shaker cards are fun to make and I'm sure I will be making more. These two cards are so cute that I was a bit reluctant to mail them out. Haha. Anyway, I can always make more.

A good weekend to all!

Simon Says: Photo Inspiration

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week's theme is Simon Says: Photo Inspiration.

I coloured up this cute image from Whimsy Stamps with alcohol markers, and die-cut it with a square scalloped die from Spellbinders.

I then adhered the image to a piece of glitter paper with beautiful silver dots and added some die-cut frames in hues of lilac.  I also threaded a shiny lilac ribbon through the background paper on the left.

Lastly, I adhered a sentiment "hugs", which I embossed on grey cardstock.

That's it from me for today. Happy crafting!

Simon Says: It's A Dog's Life

Hello! I'm sharing a card today to take part in Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week's theme is "It's A Dog's Life", and I have just the card for it!

I stamped this puppy stamp from Lili of the Valley on white cardstock and die-cut it with a circle die from Whimsy Stamps. I then colored it with promarkers.

I found this matching floral paper in my stash and used it as background paper, matting it with pink and red cardstock.

I adhered the colored image on the floral paper before adding twine, sentiment and lots of rhinestone around the image.

That's it from me for now. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Hello! Today my post is about a Christmas card I made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge -- Simon Says: Christmas.

I created the background with a Simon Says Stamp stencil and distress oxide. I decided to deviate from the usual Christmas colors and instead create something in pastel colors. The color combination is simply gorgeous and I love the chalky feel of distress oxide!

To turn it into a Christmas card, I die-cut the words, Peace, Love and Joy from Penny Black dies in shimmer white cardstock. However, the words blended in with the busy background, so I die-cut the same words in pink as shadows. This allowed the white words to stand out from the background.

Lastly, I added a grey snowflake die-cut at the bottom right corner of the card to have a little bit of winter.

Supplies used are:
Simon Says Stencil Heart Mandala
Penny Black peace love dies
Distress oxides: picked raspberry, salty ocean, twisted citron

That's all I have for now. Till next time!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 353

Hello!
I'm back today to share a card I made for the latest MFT challenge.

I decided to create a Kraft card, but started out with no idea on which MFT image to use. I finally settled on this cute fairy and coloured her up with pink and green shades.

I love creating shaker cards so couldn't resist filling the circle with lots of sequins and a beautiful floral background.

I then decorated the card further with white floral stickers and butterflies for a whimsical feel. And of course, how can I miss out glitter? Lol. I coated the fairy wings, her dress and hair band with Wink of Stella for that glittery and magical feel!

That's it from me. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Hello! Today, I'm back to take part in the SSS Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes

I die-cut a fishtail banner with Create A Smile Die and adhered it on a doily, which I adhered  an A2 card. I then colored a sunflower stamp from Penny Black and adhered it in front of the fishtail banner.

I found this Dream Big sentiment which I had die-cut earlier and it matches the color scheme perfectly! This sentiment die is from Penny Black and is one of my favorites.

The twine and star are all long-ago purchases in my stash and I am glad to be able to use them on this card (I need to reduce my stock of embellishments!).

I added some stickers and crystals to doll up the card, and used Wink of Stella on the sentiment and sunflower stamp, after which I decided, "Ok, this card has enough embellishments!" Lol

Lastly, I stuck the A2 card on a same-sized card base. Overall, I am pretty happy with how this card turned out.

Thank you for visiting my blog!
